What gets inspected
Door installation, track and hardware mounting, spring and cable systems, safety sensors and auto-reverse functionality, wind load rating compliance, and weather seal integrity. In hurricane-prone areas, wind load certification and product approval verification are additional requirements.
Wind load compliance
Florida Building Code requires garage doors to meet specific wind load ratings based on location. In the HVHZ (Miami-Dade and Broward), product approval documentation is part of the inspection. Our checklists include these verification points.
