What Is an NTBO? The Florida Contractor's Guide

The NTBO is a formal notification to the building department that you're using a private provider. Required by FL 553.791 Section 9.

When to File

At permit application, or at least 2 business days before the first inspection.

Emergency Exception

FL 553.791 Section 10 waives the NTBO for emergency inspections. HVAC replacement, storm damage, time-sensitive work.
